Each One Feed One

​​As a part of the celebration of the 4th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, KIIT World School organized a wide gamut of activities during the “POSHAN Maah” month in Sepember 2021. The activities were focused on plantation drive for POSHAN VATIKA in the space available in the School Premises, Healthy breakfast recipe and its importance, “Think Food, Think Nutrition’, Let’s grow, create and enjoy our local food, distribution of Nutrition Kits comprising of regional nutritious food and identification of SAM (Severe acute malnutrition) children with Supervised Supplementary Feeding Program and sensitization/awareness drive for COVID vaccination.
Students were encouraged to share or offer a nutritious meal with at least one child from the underprivileged sections of the society, living in their neighbourhood, not only to understand the nutritional levels in the society but also imbibe a sense of social responsibility, inclusion and volunteerism.
With its success KIITians launched “Each One, Feed One” campaign. In this campaign, all the teachers, students, and parents joined their hands together to celebrate the true spirit of Rashtriya POSHAN Maah. They offered nutritious food to underprivileged children. Around 500 students have been fed nutritious food under this campaign. We have covered the slum pockets in the areas like Bhondsi, Ramgarh, Marutikunj, Dhunela, Sector 46.
